The Huawei Y8s seems to indicate that it is a budget handset from the company. While Blass’ does not talk anything about the specifications of the phone, from the image, it is evident that the phone gets dual cameras on the rear panel. We could also easily make out the text that reads ’48-megapixels’.
Staying with the cameras, we can also see that the phone appears to have a significant notch adorning the front fascia. This is where the twin front-facing cameras are present. We still do not know the sensor and other details about the front-facing cameras.
Going by the design language of the Huawei Y8s, the phone appears to be strongly related to the Huawei Y9 from late-2018. The design language is nearly identical, with the major difference being how the flash module is integrated on to the camera array. It is strange, however, that Huawei could use the Y8s moniker for this device
The Huawei Y9 came powered by the Kirin 710 SoC, and it is likely that the Y8s will see an upgrade in this department. We expect the Y8s to feature the HiSilicon Kirin 810 chipset. The Y9 featured a 13MP + 2MP camera setup at the rear, and it looks like the Y8s will instead use a 48MP+2MP setup this time around.
