The Nokia 2 that was launched way back in October 2017 with Android 7.1.1 Nougat is finally getting the Android 8.1 Oreo update.
HMD also promised to include Android Go memory management improvements with the update because the phone only has 1 GB RAM. The Nokia 2, couldn’t be moved to the Android Go program because it wasn’t launched on it.
Nokia 2 got Android 8.1 Oreo through the beta program last June, and those who are still enrolled in the beta program will receive a notification from Nokia for the stable update.
Android Oreo on Nokia 2 will only work on mobile networks that have already approved this version of Android. Nokia has said that Oreo won’t be available for new users in 34 countries and on 7 mobile networks.
