Xiaomi announces the brand new Redmi Note 7S which boats a 48MP main camera. It features a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a water drop notch for the 13MP selfie camera.
It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back while the sides are made from aluminum. The phone powers a Qualcomm 660 chipset with a CPU running at 2.2 GHz paired with either 3GB or 4GB RAM and 32/64GB storage.
The main 48MP f/1.8 camera uses the familiar Quad Bayer layer merging 4 pixels into 1 for effective 12MP photos. The primary shooter is helped by a 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor and features Night Mode with multiple HDR exposures for better low light photography.
It comes with a 4,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support for 18W speeds. The Redmi Note 7S runs Android 9.0 with MIUI 10 on top. Other extras include an IR blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack and a P2i water repellent nano-coating.
The Redmi Note 7S will come in Onyx Black, Sapphire Blue and Ruby Red. Pricing starts at INR 10,999 for the 3/32GB model while the 4/64GB variant goes for INR 12,999. The device will be available starting May 23.
