The refrigerator is equipped with a thermostat which allows the customer to set the temperature in the freezer compartment. As soon as temperature is set as “0” inside the freezer compartment the thermostat stops the power supply to the compressor and halts the cooling. Water starts to melt and accumulates in the small tray provided inside the freezer compartment. The refrigerator is not required to be unplugged for ice to melt and accumulate. The ice water accumulated in the tray is manually required to be thrown and excess water is to be wiped with a dry cloth.
